A mouse strain has been discovered that can regenerate body parts.
Exactly how well these mice can regenerate vital organs is not entirely clear:
"Researchers systematically amputated digits and damaged various organs of the mice, including the heart, liver and brain, most of which grew back."
Which is a bit of an ambiguous wording.
But it is still interesting, and definitely a healin ability beyond what we have been able to see before in mammals outside of the womb (or even in the womb in the later stages of pregnancy).
