Many conservatives are very cheered up by the fact that Bush may be attracting a larger share of the black vote this election. (12% instead of 9%).
If I liked Bush at all, this would make me very happy. Heck, in 2000 it would have made me very happy, as I preferred Bush to Gore more strongly than I now feel about Bush vis a vis Kerry (although I voted for Howard Phillips in 2000).
However, this story DOES make me very happy. As pointed out in the article, it doesn't mean htat the black vote is likely to swing Peroutka's way, but hey, every vote counts.
