Update on Mortalities in Iraq and Afghanistan

It appears that both U.S. and total coalition fatalities in Afghanistan are already on track to meet last year's number.

Meanwhile, both hostile and non-hostile coalition fatalities in Iraq are up significantly. Last month at this time (i.e. March 6), there had been 4 hostile and 2 non-hostile fatalities. This month there have already 11 hostile and 6 non-hostile, about 3 times as many. Perhaps my prediction of a lull followed by an increase in casualties starting in March was not so much wrong as it was one month premature.

That is all.
