Shut Up, Fred Reed

Patrick Cleburne at VDARE has a good response to Fred's Reed execrable surrender on amnesty. I would only hasten to add that it is simply not true that those who are here illegally cannot be removed, that the numbers of people already here who cannot be removed can still be more easily assimilated, etc., if we stop the flow of illegal aliens, and that yes, having a huge marginalized underground population of illegals is definitely preferable to the new immigration explosion that would follow an amnesty. As for the idea that we have to accept these illegals because otherwise we promote hostility and the division of the country - if we do not get immigration under control, then we will either have division of the surrender of whites to the Latinos and our forced assimilation into Latino culture. I would rather have division than lose our culture, and I would rather the division happen sooner than later, while we still outnumber them greatly. That is all.

Fred Reed - old guy with spotty income - got himself about the highest status female a man in his circumstances can get and moved to Mexico to lower his cost of living. While I admire his initiative, his personal life shouldn't form public policy. I hope he and his family can avoid the kidnapping-death cults.

The devolution of lewrockwell.com has been strange indeed. The Mises Institute, which bills itself as the One True Church of economics, is constantly doing backflips to avoid anything that might even hint at HBD and evo-psych. It's gotten comically obvious. And they're all whiter than Augusta National.

I've tried to figure Fred out, and I think he's using pessimism as a persuasive device. I think. Anyhow, I've linked this to a general essay on Fred here:
